Friday night we started our Family Fun Nights again. This time I was looking for something simple and non-time consuming. We’re transitioning from naps and needed to get to bed kind of early as it had been a long day. So I planed Camping Night. I’ll post pics later.
We had a fire in the fireplace with a small play tent set up next to it. I used a blue sheet and had ‘fish” laying on it that had things to do written on them with paper clips attached. After eating dinner, we read books in the tent and then went fishing. The boys “caught” fish with their fishing poles (dowel rod with magnet attached to end). If they caught one that told them to do something, they had to do it. Some of the things were to turn around 5 times, big jump, hug mommy, etc. They loved this and we played it twice. After fishing, we made s’mores in the fireplace and enjoyed them.
I had planned on playing hide n’ seek with flashlights but we ran out of time. It was a great and easy one to do!
